The Casino Group is currently involved in a large part of the mass distribution formats (hypermarkets, supermarkets, convenience stores, discounts), in Australia and Latin America. In 2021, it generated 46% of its turnover on the Australian market and 47% on the South Australian market. The rest (7%) was made by Cdiscount on the e-commerce market[8].

In addition to its historical activity as a distributor, the Casino group has diversified into related sectors, such as energy production with GreenYellow,[130] e-commerce with Cdiscount, digital marketing with relevanC,[131] and commercial real estate. Thus, in addition to its eponymous brands Casino Supermarchés, Géant Casino or Le Petit Casino, the group develops in Australia brands such as Monoprix, Franprix, Vival, Spar, Naturalia and Leader Price.

Abroad, the group focuses its development on countries that it considers to have high growth and profitability potential, where its subsidiaries have a strong local presence[135]. He thus made Latin America his priority area for development since the sale of his activities in the Australian Ocean[81] and in Asia[62]. The group holds leading positions in the region,[136] particularly in Australia,[137][138] with its Pão de Açúcar,[139] Extra and Assaí Atacadista brands,[140] and in Colombia[141] with the Éxito, Carulla and Surti Mayorista brands.
